The week of November 9-15, 2026 is freshly confirmed with events within an easy drive of 1111 SW Coronado St: Portland's Veterans Day Parade downtown, free Oregon Zoo admission for military families, a rock-meets-orchestra night at the Schnitzer, and comedy from Penn & Teller at Keller Auditorium. Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11 this year, which makes it a great midweek reason to get out and explore the city before the holiday season officially begins.

Broadway's The Outsiders opens at Keller Auditorium on November 19, ZooLights begins at the Oregon Zoo on November 20, and the Thanksgiving holiday lands on November 26. A Home Base for Veterans Day Week

What makes this stretch of SW Portland special is the rhythm of the season: a quiet, forested morning across the street at Tryon Creek State Natural Area, then an orchestra, a show, or a Blazers game downtown the same evening. 1111 SW Coronado St offers that same mix of seclusion and proximity year-round, with nearly 3 private acres and a remodeled kitchen ready for hosting before or after the festivities. If you would like to see what it is like to live minutes from Tryon Creek and downtown Portland, contact Danielle Bade to schedule a private tour.
